weightlessness :

The sensation of not experiencing the effects of gravity and having no weight. Astronauts feel weightless when in orbit or in outer space, so they anchor themselves down to keep from floating around their ship. Actually, astronauts are still attracted to Earth’s gravitational field, but the pull on them is counterbalanced by the centrifugal force on them, their orbiting space craft, and other objects in their spacecraft.
