absolute zero:

A temperature so cold that it can only be approached, never reached. Absolute zero is –273.16º C or –459.69º F. At absolute zero, molecular motion nearly stops. Scientists have been able to lower the temperature of an object to within a few millionths of a degree of absolute zero.
