I hope that this tragedy helps spur a move towards conservation and alternative fuels. I don’t think that we can overnight switch from coal and offshore drilling. I do think that we can with a little vision build a world in a decade or two which is sustainable, reduced-emissions, and safer.

I wrote to you about the gulf coast.I am in my school’s computer lab.I told my teacher about your website and I convinced them into going on your website. They thought it was so cool.
Especially your Nanny in Space game. I’ll write back. Sincerely, Alana

Hi Alana G., I wrote an answer to your post about sea turtles and you can read that in my blog entry for today, Tuesday, June 1. But for this note I just want to welcome you as a friend and fan. I’m proud that you and your friends liked my book, WILDFIRES. But I’m even prouder that you feel strongly enough about out planet and the environment to post your comments on here. Welcome aboard Alana. It’s great to have you as a shipmate on Planet Earth.
