The three most common types of clouds are cumulus, cirrus, and altostratus. A cumulus cloud looks like pieces of floating cotton. Altostratus clouds are gray or blue-gray middle level clouds composed of ice crystals and water droplets. These clouds usually cover the entire sky. I actually found 4 different types of clouds. There is cirrus clouds, cumulus clouds, and stratus clouds. I also found altostratus clouds. Cirrus clouds are icy, thin, high clouds blown from high winds to long streamers. Cumulus clouds are white puffy cloud*s that could develop into thunderstorms.Stratus clouds are gray, foggy clouds that cover the sky. I also found Altostratus clouds . They are blue-gray clouds that mostly cover the sky, they are made of ice crystals and water droplets.

The three types of clouds are high-leveled clouds, mid-leveled clouds, and low-leveled clouds. High level clouds form above 20,000 ft in the air. Since the temperature is cold up there, the cloud is composed of ice-crystals. A mid-level cloud is forms between 6,500-20,000 ft. The cloud is mostly composed of water droplets. The low-level cloud forms below 6,500 ft. When temperature is cold it may contain ice particles and snow.
    The type of cloud that you would see would be a cumulus cloud. They live for 5-40 min. They look like a puffy cotton ball floating in the air.

A cumulonimbus is a dark cloud that brings rain and thunderstorms.                                   
A nimbostratus is a big puffy looking cloud.

A cirrus cloud is a long little sting of cloud.
You would most likely see a cirrus cloud on a fair weather day.

stratus: these clouds are like layers of stretched clouds.
The stratus clouds usually produce some mist or a drizzle.

cumulus: these clouds are like a heap and can be seen on a beautiful day. These clouds are made of water drops. You can find a lot of different shapes and pictures in these type of clouds.

The fair day clouds are cumulus clouds.

They are mostly composed of water droplets since their bases generally lie below 6,500 feet. If it is cold enough, these clouds may also contain ice particles and snow. Cirrus clouds are high level clouds.They form above 20,000 feet and since the temperatures are so cold at such high elevations, these clouds are primarily composed of ice crystals. They are typically thin and white in appearance, but can appear in a magnificent array of colors when the sun is low on the horizon.
    Cumulus clouds form when sunshine warms pockets of moist air and causes them to rise quickly. As they get higher, the pocket of air billows out and forms the familiar fluffy shape as the moist air cools and condenses into water droplets. Stratus clouds build up when a layer of warm, moist air rises slowly over a mass of colder air. Cirrus clouds occur in warm air which is being slowly lifted over a large area by an approaching cold front, and they are therefore often the signal of bad weather.
