Hail is when raindrops freeze and they can be as large as oranges or grapefruit.
I think it is awesome that frozen raindrops can be as large as oranges.

Pollution
Pollution: Dirty air that is bad for us and can make us sick. It comes from gas in cars, lawnmowers, and airplanes.
I breathed in some air pollution and it made me feel bad.
It’s amazing because it’s a science word that we see all around us!

tornadoes
A huge tunnel of wind that’s made when hot and cold air meet.
I think tornadoes are very loud and scary things.
When a tornadoe comes you go into a place with no windows or if you’re driving you get out of your car and get in a dich.
I hope a tornadoe dosen’t come to Yardley.

Zero Gravity
Zero gravity (aka free-fall) means weightlessness. This happens when there is no mechanical stress or strain and the body is able to float freely.
Zero gravity is awesome because it gives you the sense of flying which is really cool, like a super hero.
Zero gravity is found in space and not here on Earth. It is gravity that keeps us on the ground and prevents us from floating into space.

A way of measuring the force that a body feels from gravity and the body’s acceleration. At rest on Earth’s surface, the force of gravity is 1 g., the body’s weight. During lift-off, astronauts feel a force several times greater than 1 g. In orbit, the astronauts feel a force of 0 g. because they and their ship are freely falling together, even though Earth’s gravity still pulls both with a force nearly equal to 1 g.
I think g-force is awesome because it makes you feel wierd in your stomach.
when your on a roller coster and you go up then down, you feel light,you are feeling g-force.

Atoms, are microscopic elements that make up everything in our world.
I thinnk atoms are awsome because everything we see, or touch is made out of an atom. Even you and I are made out of atoms.
Atoms are microscopic, so you cannot see them unless you have a microscope.

Beach
The beach is a place where the ocean meets the land.
The beach is awesome because the sand is perfect for making cool sand castles and you can find pretty seashells. You can even go swimming in the ocean! (I wouldn’t go in to deep though).
I can’t wait for summer so I can go to the beach and feel the sand in my toes again!

Minerals
An element found in the earth, some of which are precious stones used for jewelry. Another type of mineral is some fossil fuels like coal.
I like may minerals but my favorite is quatz.
I choose minerals because I want to be a geoligest. Also, I think minerals are beautiful, interesting, and extremely awsome:)

My definition of a tornado is: a cloud that has a powerful force of wind and when it touches down creates an explosion of dust.
I think this is awesome because: I like to learn how to measure wind speeds so if I can fly a plane when I grow up I will have more control with the wind.

Mars is smaller then Earth and is the fourth planet away from the sun. Valles Marineris, a gigantic canyon on Mars, is over 8 kilometers deep and 4500 kilometers long. It also has two moons on it.

Water is a tastless, colorless, odorless liqiud. Water covers nearly three fourths of the earth.Water in oceans tastes salty because it has mineral that dissolve into it. Water boils at 212 degrees F and freezes at 32 degrees F. Water is two atoms hydrogen and one atom oxygen.I chose water because it is an easy yet hard to define. After a long run i drink a bottle of water. I like water because it is very refreshing and you need water to live. Also without water you wouldn’t be able to have water ballon/squirt gun fights!

My awesome word is hemophilia.
Hemophilia is a blood disorder carried by females that males can only get.
I think it’s awesome because its’ a different name that stands out in my mind. I also like it because only males can get it, and I’m a female.
The male got hemophilia because the female carried it on to him.
