And on page 14 I like how you read your old writing and get inspiriations for your new writing.  cool smile

Mrs. Benedict’s 2nd grade class loved the book Gorillas. We read the book and learned that baby gorillas ride on their mothers’ backs and slide on their bellies. We liked the part about 10 2nd graders weighing as much as a gorilla. We counted 10 kids from our class to estimate how heavy that would be.

We love the book Sharks. We think it’s a great book because it shows all kinds of sharks and has up-close photos so you can really see what the different kinds look like.

We learned that sharks have 3 eyelids and that when they lose a tooth, it is replaced! They can have thousands of new teeth in their lifetimes.

My favorite book is gorillas because they are interesting.

Gorillas are interesting because they have 2 arms and 2 legs like a human, but one thing that is not like a human is they have 28 teeth in their mouth.

Mrs. Shaughnessy’s 1st grade class likes Coral Reefs.

Why we like it? We think it is a great book because it taught us many facts we didn’t already know. We liked Seymour Simon’s book because he talked about animals we had never heard of before.

Example: We didn’t know that Sea Stars eat by turning their stomachs inside out through their mouths! First we said, “eww!” and then we said, “cool!”. Also, we found out that some fish can turn into a darker color for camouflage at night.

1.My favorite book is Extreme Earth Records

2.I love this book because there are cool records of the world and I like learning about the wonders of the world and it is cool how you can learn so many facts in only one book!

3.The example that I loved in the book was about the most remote place on Earth. It said Tristan da Cunha rises out of the sea like a creature from the ocean’s depth. That is why I like the most remote place on earth.
